Brooxs (Aka Mark Brooker) is a self-taught Abstract mixed media artist living in Melbourne Australia who started painting about 7 years ago, His acrylics on canvas feature earthy tones as well as balanced colours with textured and layered bases.
Having no formal training means he doesn't have any preconceptions about how his artwork should look when asked Brooxs will tell you that he almost always starts with an idea that will often fly out the window 10 mins after starting as ideas don’t always work out the way you expect he feels that the paint, colours time of day and the weather will have an impact on how a particular artwork might end up its really a bit like traffic lights you have to know when to start and when to stop.
Brooxs spent many years travelling the world visiting over 40 countries, over a decade as a Model /Actor and was also (frontman) Singer for many local bands in Melbourne and is currently now running his own Picture framing business when he is not working he is Painting
