Artwork Description

"Outcrop" The starting point for this painting was to tell the story of ancient bedrock that looms in the distance shaping the landscape like a giant leviathan that slowly rises from the deep. The harmony between land and sky is delivered by large palette knife gestures pushing paint across the canvas in abstract form. The isolated tree that stares from its vantage point like a soldier on guard complete the composition.
