About

I always liked to draw and to paint from a very young age. But work, family and bringing up four children didn’t allow much time for it.
Now that I have retired I can enjoy my passion of painting without feeling guilty. Pastel was one of my first mediums and drawing came easy to me after working as Architect. But I always wanted to paint. Acrylic paint with its fast drying time was a challenge for me and so I enrolled in a diploma of Visual Art at Bremer Tafe in Ipswich QLD to better understand the medium.
I enjoy realistic painting and started with portraits of animals and people but most of my artwork is inspired by the world around me, I particularly love nature and animals.
Recently I started an abstract style with Pebeo and Acrylics which became more and more ‘fluid painting’. I just love the unexpected results that can be achieved with this style and I am still learning about it. The outcome of my abstract work is a result of many frustrating and exiting experiments. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Thanks for taking the time to look through my works
