I was given these beautiful hydrangeas grown by my friend in the Adelaide Hills. I just had to have a go at capturing their beauty ina terracotta pot. The contrasting black background makes the flowers pop. Very cheerful and uplifting.
My paintings try to capture the the vivid colours in beautiful Australian landscapes that I have visited during my travels. My recent work is inspired by aerial photographs of Australian desert landscapes, the Flinders Ranges and the seascapes of the Fleurieu Peninsular. I find painting inredibly meditative, indeed therapeutic. Everyone should try it!
