Artwork Description

This is an aerial depiction of salt lake country on a cloudy and rainy day. The patchwork landscape is broken up by the multiple spherical lakes that flow and ebb across the land giving the painting an abstract and whimsical quality. The painting was inspired by a larger aerial image taken by Scott Jon.

My paintings try to capture the the vivid colours in beautiful Australian landscapes that I have visited during my travels. My recent work is inspired by aerial photographs of Australian desert landscapes, the Flinders Ranges and the seascapes of the Fleurieu Peninsular. I find painting inredibly meditative, indeed therapeutic. Everyone should try it!
