This painting was inspired by a photo taken by my friend Yaga on a walking track across Wilpena Pound. The rugged rocks and wildflowers in the foreground provide an ideal platform for the panoramic view of the pound.
My paintings try to capture the the vivid colours in beautiful Australian landscapes that I have visited during my travels. My recent work is inspired by aerial photographs of Australian desert landscapes, the Flinders Ranges and the seascapes of the Fleurieu Peninsular. I find painting inredibly meditative, indeed therapeutic. Everyone should try it!
