I was born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s. Back then finding ways to entertain yourself when it was rainy Scottish day was a short thinking process. Mainly because you didn't have many options. There was no playstation, no laptop, no tablet and no smart phone. But there was this little chap. The game boy truly was a game chamger. No plugs, no TV connection, just some double A batteries and you were on your way! It also represents a time in my life before all the bullshit of adulthood got in the way of being happy and content. The game boy was simple, straight foward. These days I'm very big on recapturing that raw contentment, which is one of the main reasons why I paint. It's my little escape. My thing to do on a rainy day. My feeling of contentment. My happy place. My game boy π
