This painting was inspired by a holiday home I stayed in as a young girl. It was a fibro beach house by the water and I enjoyed the quintessential Australian summer holiday, with the warm sand between your toes and the wind in your hair. Indeed, it's where I'd like to be now, right on sunset with a glass of wine! I always like to paint places where I'd like to spend some time and this is no exception. This piece is roughly textured with multiple layers of colour and has a simple vintage charm about it. The sides are painted, it's varnished and ready to hang.
