Artwork Description

Aureline was recently selected for exhibition in the 2026 Camberwell Art Show, one of Australia’s most prestigious selected-entry art exhibitions.

This is an original abstract artwork from Mary Mangos’ Luminous Stillness Series, exploring the quiet interplay between light, movement and stillness through layered oceanic blues and luminous gilded tones.

Inspired by the reflective qualities of water, atmosphere and shifting light, the work evokes a sense of suspended calm — where energy softens into presence and colour drifts gently across the surface. Rich passages of ultramarine, turquoise and indigo are balanced by luminous gold details that catch and respond to changing light throughout the day.

Developed with contemporary interiors in mind, Aureline is designed to bring a calm yet quietly powerful presence into a space. The work offers both visual depth and emotional stillness, inviting moments of reflection, restoration and pause.

The title Aureline, derived from the Latin meaning “golden” or “gilded,” reflects the luminous warmth woven throughout the composition.

Original artwork by Melbourne abstract artist Mary Mangos.
Acrylic on canvas, framed in an oak floating frame and ready to hang.

I’m a full-time abstract and expressive artist based in Melbourne, creating vibrant, textured acrylic paintings that radiate joy, calm and uplifting energy.

Inspired by nature, colour, and my own healing journey with long Covid, my work explores renewal, flow and emotional well-being.
