Artwork Description

Golden Drift is part of my Luminous Stillness Series, exploring the quiet relationship between light, movement and stillness.

Inspired by the reflective beauty beneath the water’s surface, the painting invites the viewer into an abstract world where shimmering light drifts through rich ocean blues. Layers of luminous gold emerge gently from deeper passages of colour, creating moments of quiet radiance that reveal themselves over time.

Rather than depicting a literal seascape, Golden Drift evokes the feeling of being immersed beneath the waves—where movement softens, time slows, and stillness becomes something to experience.

Created to bring a sense of calm and quiet luminosity to contemporary interiors, it is a reminder that not everything precious is immediately seen. Sometimes the most beautiful things reveal themselves only when we pause long enough to notice.
