Kasai-The Night Star

A main character in my unpublished novel Naked Beauty. An enslaved 1800 French prostitute from Congo, whose only dream is to see the stars of her village and hold her mother one last time.

I’m a self taught Congolese, Australian artist that has only been painting for 18 months. I have found an infinity with water colour on canvas. The black female form will be forever my muse. My work explores the idea of larger black female bodies being central to Renaissance style art with bold ties to my African culture.
