No Name

This piece was a collaboration with my four year old son, and it explores the idea of who we are without our names? Without my name I am still me, an African Australian woman who is learning to embrace her body and all the markings of her Congolese culture.

My work explores the idea of larger black female bodies being central to Renaissance style art with bold ties to my African culture.
