Each white mark tells a story of an ancient African woman who stood in the power and frailty of their humanity and the peace of the soul. She is my ancestor, she is my spirit. She is me.

I’m a self taught Congolese, Australian artist that has only been painting for 18 months. I have found an infinity with water colour on canvas. The black female form will be forever my muse. My work explores the idea of larger black female bodies being central to Renaissance style art with bold ties to my African culture.
