Printmaking and linocut printing are two of my favourite artistic mediums to use. Some of my sources of inspiration include working with line, texture, and tone as well as the careful, time-consuming process of hand carving the block before printing.

Some of my primary influences are the 20th-century Sōsaku-hanga woodblock print movement ("creative prints"), the Australian printmakers Margret Preston and Barbara Hanrahan, the Japanese printmaker Un'ichi Hiratsuka, and the Australian printmakers Margret Preston and Barbara Hanrahan.

I’m a Melbourne-based illustrator and printmaker with 25 years of experience. After years in agencies, I founded my studio in 2009 to bridge technical precision with the grit of the handmade. I think of my practice as an off-site art department where graphic lines meet classic craft.

My heart is in linocut printing—a slow, meditative craft. It requires hours of hand-carving a block before ink ever touches paper. Because of this process, every print is a unique entity with its own character. My style is a conversation between graphic art and relief printing, shaped by the Australian landscape and the legacy of Margaret Preston and the Japanese Sōsaku-hanga movement.

When I’m not at the carving bench, I’m usually recording music or heading out on a road trip. I’m a professional member of Illustrators Australia and always open to new collaborations and commissions.
