Artwork Description

The ancients gods still call to us and I use poetry in this work to refer to antiquity. The poem is a sonnet and evokes a lost world of seafaring exploration and discovery. The gods of antiquity remain with us in many ways, their spirits guide us in the modern world. We are all descended from people who worshipped these gods and especailly in the Anglosphere we come from seafaring peoples who went where they wanted to without any thought of the consequences. They were brave.
