We live in a connected world but what is the cost? I take a humorous look at modern life through a pop lens. This work dates from 2022 when i was just starting to use watercolour. I began with 'Television man' then made other animals to accompany him including 'Computer mouse', 'Party animal' and 'Flip-phone dog'. They are the 'Social animals'.
After getting a BA in 1985 I worked in various offices for 35 years before becoming a journalist. In 2022 I established the Eastern Suburbs Art Group with Simon Kahn and began making works, taking up watercolour in November. I participated in a group show ‘Colour as A Plot Device’ in August 2023 and had my own solo show ‘Media of Mass Psychology’ in November 2023.
