Vivid light festival in Sydney is an annual event that takes place in the winter in the central business district. One of the panels of this work is a prose poem desribing my time meeting friends in the city for the 2022 festival. Most of the painting spells out relevant words but it is a bit of a puzzle.
After getting a BA in 1985 I worked in various offices for 35 years before becoming a journalist. In 2022 I established the Eastern Suburbs Art Group with Simon Kahn and began making works, taking up watercolour in November. I participated in a group show ‘Colour as A Plot Device’ in August 2023 and had my own solo show ‘Media of Mass Psychology’ in November 2023.
