Moraine follows my captivation with lines building up form over time. On this occasion the painting is overlaid with longer lines flowing from top to bottom. The title is whimsical, not representational, and is one of recent paintings named after geological features.

I am a visual artist with a hidden disability. I mainly paint in oil on canvas. My works celebrate the process of painting, embracing changes, accidents, and discoveries made along the way. For as long as I can remember I have been interested in lines in artwork. This interest has distilled to a point where I am painting only in lines. Lines come in many forms‚ the brush stoke‚ the mark‚ calligraphy. I love the way the patterns of lines build up‚ they merge from fields into traces of energy. I am interested in the harmonies and the joining of form and the different scales at which the lines form pattern.
