My original study was textile design and Adelaide's School of Art and Craft. I then worked for 20 years in various forms of art and fashion.
But, in 1997 I followed my other passion, natural health. Since arriving back in Adelaide from Sydney in 1999 I have worked full time as a Naturopath.
However, in recent years I have devoted much more time to my painting. Moving full circle, as a practicing Australian artist.
This includes participating in exhibitions. Also fulfilling my love of learning by continuing to study and improve my art practice, wherever and whenever I can.
Over this period I have attended many and varied art courses and workshops in this time including Peter Bok at Bapea Art School, Liana Vargas Cat Leonard, and Krystina at Splashout Studio, Chelsea Lehman, Trena Everuss and Nona Burden at Adelaide Central School, John Lacey, Ruby Chew, Sophie Hann, Gerhard Ritter, and Deborah Trusson.
1985-1997: Established and was a partner in La Luna, a retail clothing outlet. I was a designer, manufacturer and retailer of fashion clothing (Sydney NSW).
1985 – 1987 – Conducted screen printing workshops for TAFE – Sydney.
1981-1986: Established and ran Uz designs-Adelaide - an art and craft gallery. I was involved in managing the business as well as design and manufacture of art and craft products.
1981-1984: Part-time lecturer in screen printing with Dept. of Technical And Further Education, Adelaide, in their Employment Programme For Unemployed Youth.
1981-1984: Established and operated a fabric printing studio in Adelaide with two other fabric artists.
1980-1983: Assisted in the establishment of The Bakehouse, a craft workshop at Prospect Community Centre, Adelaide. Organized and conducted fabric printing workshops, and assisted in the preparation of submissions for grants, etc.
1981-1984: Full time study-Diploma of Art and Craft. Graduated in Textile Design.
