Artwork Description

This piece was inspired by memories of my grandmother’s house, where she kept chickens in a small coop and collected their eggs every morning. I can still remember the sound of their gentle clucking, the flutter of wings, and the earthy smell of straw and sunlight.

That place was alive in every sense, full of warmth, rhythm, and the feeling of being truly present. Painting this scene brought those memories back to life, reminding me how love and simplicity can fill even the smallest corners of our world.

Artist Bio

I'm a Melbourne-based artist working primarily with watercolour, oil, and acrylic. My creative practice is driven by a deep interest in the emotional resonance of colour, texture, and form. I explore themes of memory, nature, and inner landscapes—often blurring the line between abstraction and reality.
Art has always been a way for me to process the world around me. Whether it’s the soft fluidity of watercolour, the bold presence of oil, or the versatility of acrylic, each medium allows me to express something unique and personal. I’m especially inspired by the shifting moods of the natural world and how those moods mirror our internal states.
My work is intuitive and layered, inviting viewers to pause and find their own meaning in each piece. Over the years, I’ve exhibited in group shows around Victoria, and my artworks are now held in private collections across Australia.
Through Bluethumb, I’m excited to share my evolving body of work and connect with people who feel something in the marks, colours, and moments I capture on canvas and paper.
