Intuitively I paint into these shapes to highlight forms I can bring out or areas to mask, bringing together this imagined abstract dreamscape.

Maria is an Australian artist based in Tasmania, who has been painting, drawing and creating from a young age.
Choosing mostly to work in Acrylics and watercolour.
Maria draws on her love of her Island home, it's unique flora and fauna and her lived experiences for inspiration.
Capturing the sun peaking over the horizon, the froth from turbulence in the water or the crisp feeling of the winter season is her aim.
