Artwork Description

Hiking around Kunanyi Mt Wellington provides you with a feeling that you're far from civilisation, but in reality you're 15 minutes as
the crow flys from Hobart, Tasmania's capital.
I often wonder what the huts, trails and giant timbers would tell us if they could talk. I guess l'll just have to keep an ear out for those mountain whispers.

Choosing mostly to work in Acrylics and watercolour.
Maria draws on her love of her Island home, it's unique flora and fauna and her lived experiences for inspiration.
Capturing the sun peaking over the horizon, the froth from turbulence in the water or the crisp feeling of the winter season is her aim.
