Winter stillness
Winter is my favourite season.
The cold crisp weather produces a sense of calming stillness, like you've been reminded
it's time to slow down. When the water is calm in the Derwent river the morning lights reflect across the water before the sun rises.

Maria is an Australian artist based in Tasmania, who has been painting, drawing and creating from a young age.
Choosing mostly to work in Acrylics and watercolour.
Maria draws on her love of her Island home, it's unique flora and fauna and her lived experiences for inspiration.
Capturing the sun peaking over the horizon, the froth from turbulence in the water or the crisp feeling of the winter season is her aim.
