About

Working out of her light filled studio located in Bathurst NSW, Meg Allan constructs intricate worlds full of movement and symbolism, questioning what it means to be human.

Meg loves the journey of creation. She attempts to be an honest storyteller in this fast paced world, offering a moment of clarity for minds bombarded by excess information and imagery.

Meg uses her art as a form of self-expression and self-reflection, but also as a means to speak about her surroundings, and in turn help others to emotionally improve their perceptions, understandings, to stir thought and to comfort.

Meg works in a variety of mediums including oils, acrylic, graphite and pastel.

Meg is a self proclaimed art nerd and draws inspiration from the Masters of the Surrealist and Academic Art movements. Her work is held in private collections in Australia and Internationally.
