HYDRANGEA AND LEMONS
A large vase of blue hydrangeas with lemons. Lots of interesting details in the texture on the vase and lemons and iridescent properties of the copper leaf bees on the wallpaper.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Dutch Australian, Megan Drennan draws inspiration from the rural landscapes that surround her in her daily life as an avid equestrian.
Megan’s home studio is situated in the picturesque open farming area of Umbiram, Queensland. Her favourite medium of acrylic allows her to create intriguing and highly textured work. Megan enjoys taking her own reference photos for her paintings, whether it’s her own dog, horses and poultry, her neighbour’s sheep and cattle, or the birds and landscapes around her. She loves being immersed in the moment while painting and seeing a piece emerge from the canvas.
Unrestricted by a singular artistic style, Megan offers a variety of quirky landscapes, animal portraits and still life. Lose yourself in the whimsy of Megan’s creations.
Megan’s artworks hang in numerous galleries and private collections throughout Australia and overseas.
