Hi! I’m Megan, an artist living and creating in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, Victoria.
I’ve always been drawn to the joy, colour, and vibrancy found in nature, and that’s what inspires my art. I work primarily with acrylic paint on stretched canvas and love capturing the bold beauty of flowers. There’s something magical about their energy and elegance, and I enjoy translating that into colourful, expressive compositions. I often use soft, chalky background tones to let the florals really pop!
Flowers have a deep-rooted place in my story. My grandparents on my mother’s side were tulip bulb growers in the Netherlands before immigrating to the rich soils of the Dandenong Ranges to continue their passion for flowers. (One of the reasons I’m drawn to painting so many lilies!)
I’m currently studying Design and Communication at Monash University. Design allows me to explore visual storytelling, colour, composition, and branding in new ways. I really enjoy finding creative ways to bring ideas to life.
I hope the joy and energy I feel while creating shines through in my work. Thanks so much for taking the time to get to know a bit about me and my art.
