Description:

There is nothing dull about the color red. It always catches one’s eye. It stands out. It shines even more with the rays of early morning sunshine. The red bicycle takes me back to my childhood memories of bicycle rides with friends and family. Surely it will resonate with you too!

The intricate work involved with effects of light and shadow makes this a truly unique piece. I hope it brings joy to you as much as I enjoyed painting it!

Artist Bio

I am an Australian artist who is immensely inspired by art and artists around the world. Art was a big part of my childhood years. I always had passion for art and sought opportunities to create more art. As I grew older, academic expectations took over most of my time and my love for art took a backseat for several years. I migrated to Australia in 2005, completed my higher studies in Physiotherapy and worked as a physiotherapist in Brisbane for around ten years. After this time, I took a break from my career and decided to pursue and explore the field of art.

My love and passion for art took off again in 2019. I started exhibiting my artworks in local galleries and immersed myself in the local art community. By 2020, I launched a fine art business ‘Meg Fine Art’. As an emerging artist, I engaged myself in self learning opportunities through many online courses and undertook several weekend workshops. I also experimented with many mediums to find my Niche. I primarily paint using oil and acrylic paints. I also use charcoal pencils primarily for pet portraits. Landscapes, still life and animals are my favourite subjects so far. I always challenge myself with a variety of different subjects. You will notice this throughout my gallery of works.

I am immensely passionate about wildlife and nature conservation and my art comes from that deeper meaning. I believe that art tells us a great deal about our life experiences and I hope to express that message through my art.

I primarily paint realism but I believe that art is a continuous learning process and my art is always evolving. As an artist, I am always exploring new styles. Sometimes, I like to paint with a combination of palette knife and brush that brings a personal style to my artworks.

I hope to bring some of my new artworks in this online gallery for you to take a look at.
