Artwork Description

Muted Botanica is a textured abstract exploration of organic forms, earthy stillness, and quiet luxury. Featuring layered botanical-inspired shapes in muted mauves, warm taupes, deep mocha, and soft ivory tones, the artwork is brought to life through delicate raised gold detailing that softly reflects changing natural light throughout the day.

Created using textured paste, acrylic, glue detailing, and gold accents on canvas, this piece balances sculptural texture with a calm minimalist palette - making it ideal for modern interiors that embrace warmth, softness, and understated elegance.

Its vertical composition and neutral earthy tones allow it to sit beautifully within studies, living spaces, entryways, and curated corners, adding depth and visual interest without overwhelming the space.

Artist Bio

Megha Pabathi is a Melbourne-based contemporary artist whose work explores themes of identity, belonging, resilience, and hope through textured abstract forms.

Originally from India and now calling Australia home, Megha's artistic practice is deeply influenced by her experience navigating life between cultures. Through layers of texture, movement, and metallic accents, she creates works that reflect both the challenges and beauty of building a life far from one's roots while holding onto the parts of oneself that remain unchanged.

Working primarily with acrylics, textured mediums, sand, and metallic elements, her paintings are inspired by natural landscapes, shifting light, and the emotional journeys that connect us all. Her neutral palettes and organic forms invite viewers to pause, reflect, and find moments of calm amidst an increasingly complex world.

Alongside her studio practice, Megha is the founder of Bohomonkey Studio, where she shares her love of creativity through textured art workshops designed to make art accessible, enjoyable, and deeply personal.
