Artwork Description

The Narrative:

The narrative of the piece unfolds in the delicate tension between the life above and the silence below. While the blooms continue their upward reach, a single petal has surrendered, drifting down to rest at the base of the pot.

This fallen petal serves as the work's namesake - the "Center of Gravity." It is the quiet point of impact where the ethereal, shaded background meets the physical world. It reminds us that even in a towering, expansive landscape, it is the smallest moments of surrender that ground us.

The Visual Experience:

The Vertical Scale: The extreme 60-inch height draws the eye upward, mimicking the natural growth of the flower. It commands the entire wall, transforming any space into a private gallery.

Tonal Mastery: The background is a sophisticated gradient of burgundy-browns, expertly shaded to create a three-dimensional "aura" around the central subject. This halo effect ensures the flower pot remains the undisputed focal point.

The Detail: While the scale is grand, the focus is intimate. The textures of the ceramic pot and the velvet-softness of the petals are rendered with precision, inviting closer inspection.

The Collector’s Note:

This is a "Statement Piece" designed for a space that demands a strong, central presence. The deep, warm palette of burgundy and earth provides a rich, grounded energy, while the central alignment offers a feeling of order, peace, and timelessness.

"With this scale, I wanted to elevate a simple, quiet moment into something monumental. It’s about the strength found in the center of things."

Artist Bio

"Art doesn't just run in my family; it defines me."

My journey as an artist began long before I picked up a brush. It began with my grandfather, Hassan Nawab Rizvi. He was a visionary – a man of immense talent who created in the quiet shadows of a time without social media or global stages. His art was his soul, shared only with those closest to him.

As a qualified Interior Designer, I understand the technicalities of space and light, but as an artist, I rely entirely on the hereditary gift passed down through my lineage. We are “natural artists” – we create because we must, guided by an ancestral rhythm rather than formal instruction.

I am honored to be the first in my family to bring this hidden heritage to the world. My mission is twofold: to finally give my grandfather’s legacy the audience it deserves, and to pave the way for my child to carry this flame into the next generation.

Every canvas I finish is a bridge between our history and your home.
