Artist Bio

My name is Mahsa, and I'm a Persian artist who recently made Australia my new home. While my background lies in architecture and interior design, my true passion lies in the realm of artistry.

My artistic journey revolves around crafting unique abstract geometric wall structures using meticulously folded paper. Drawing inspiration from both the traditional architectural motifs of my homeland and contemporary art movements, I infuse my creations with a blend of heritage and modernity. My works predominantly feature a minimalist aesthetic, often exploring monochromatic palettes, yet they range from elegantly simple to intricately complex.
I find joy in experimenting with different forms and textures, constantly pushing the boundaries of paper as a medium and exploring how light interacts with each piece. Through my art, I aim to evoke a sense of serenity and beauty, enriching the spaces they inhabit and the people who encounter them.

Beyond my artistic pursuits, I am a proud mother of two sons. My personal studio, nestled within the comforts of my home, bears the name Mehromaah. This name holds a special significance as it is derived from the names of my sons, Mehrad and Maahan, which translate to Sun and Moon in Persian. It's a tribute to the light they bring into my life and a constant reminder of the source of my inspiration.
