This is one of my images from an exhibition I held in 2018. The subject matter for this show were images I photographed of the sky, clouds and birds.
The sky is an amazing natural beauty that is quietly working away as we go about our lives. If you take the time to look up, you will see a silent world of beauty that carries on with or without us noticing.
The black and white images are predominantly shot for use in large spaces to create a restful place.

Artist Bio
I have been a commercial photographer for over 20 years based in Sydney Australia.
I love photography and think all the time about the visual world around me.
I have shot everything from coal mines to mattresses, corporate portraits, family portraits, products, food,
animals and real estate.
To me, photography is a true form of visual communication allowing us to capture and savour a moment in time and remind us of all that was.
I have always shot personal works. My Instagram is probably the best summary of the visual world I see around me on a daily/weekly basis.
I walk my dog twice a day and on these walks I am always taking pictures. Whether they make the cut with my fussiness when I get back and review them is a different story...
The sky is a particular interest of mine and I held an exhibition in 2018 with this being the subject matter. Still now this is my favourite subject matter. The light, the shade, the shadows dancing with the sun, the clouds, the colours, the composition. All these things are taken into consideration when shooting.
The sky is a natural beauty that is constantly with us.
It’s a constant yet it is constantly changing, somewhat like the world we live in.
If I can inspire just 1 or 2 people to stop during their busy lives and look up every now and then and see it's beauty then I would be very happy! In the meantime I post these images on my Instagram in case they miss the beauty.
I plan to continue my study of the clouds and the sky and look into more and different mediums to print these images on.
