Artwork Description

After a good day of outback driving, I finally arrived in the dusty desert outpost of Coober Pedy, South Australia. Undeterred by the remote strangeness of the town, I headed out exploring and happened upon this odd little house up on a hill. The sun was high, the clouds were fluffy and the air smelled clean. I sketched the house in sepia indian ink before adding in colour and depth with watercolour.
