Artwork Description

CRUCIFIED

Upon a white washed wall
Hangs a crucifix
Magnified and tall
For those who walk blind
Deny the glimpse they just saw
A monument
A shrine
A gateway towards the eminent mountain of love
To be nurtured by the hand of the dearest
To be cradled in the arms of the beloved
As time passes from innocence
I too was one who lived by that loving hand
However, at birth I was to be strung and nailed
To the cross of deception
ill-raised and ill-received
By the wicked mind of greed
Purity left in the turbulent draw
Man left only to craw
Love is so desperately needed
Where the motherless children pleaded
Despairing and without the infinite law
Left to stumble and plead their call
For they were left to feel so small

Artist Bio

I am an Australian born artist who has been developing a style that is vital to my aim of expressing the Human condition. My art is derived from ‘my story’, I draw my inspiration from real experiences. I believe all artistic vision is inherently from a source that can only be considered as divine. I draw from my own personal experiences, all that I witness within the boundaries of my life, from all that I have felt internally.

“I understood more, when I felt more”

I approach my work with a conceived idea or an elusive image. At first a set style or attitude is taken on as an expressive outlet, and then eventually I become stimulated before the work takes a life of its own through an emotional outlet during the creation of the work. I become captivated by the works progressive development, encouraging what works to hold or to expose a subconscious truth and beauty, creating a life of its own.

"There is no single truth in Art, everyone holds their own truth which they have reaped through the life they have endured".
