Artwork Description

SNAKE SKIN BRAIN

Captivated is my mind
Wrapped tight by the slivering ‘soul stealing’ snake
Let loose on the prowl for the innocently confused
Bearing no strength
The Tempestuous Serpent Thrives with manipulative energy
Fortune sought after by our hungry desires
God forgotten
Weak is our character, they do not bear dignity
We think too much, yet feel too little
Where is our place
Given no identity besides our warranted duty
No meaningful journey is engaged
Comfort is our ruin
No growth, no soulful torment
No awakening to our indignant lives, putting us asleep
I am standing alone with no real connection
Yet still, the eternal voice still calls
It is up to me what I choose
Whether the snake shall continue to take hold
or
I shall take refuge towards a more daunting and perilous life
but with greater purpose and sanctity

Artist Bio

I am an Australian born artist who has been developing a style that is vital to my aim of expressing the Human condition. My art is derived from ‘my story’, I draw my inspiration from real experiences. I believe all artistic vision is inherently from a source that can only be considered as divine. I draw from my own personal experiences, all that I witness within the boundaries of my life, from all that I have felt internally.

“I understood more, when I felt more”

I approach my work with a conceived idea or an elusive image. At first a set style or attitude is taken on as an expressive outlet, and then eventually I become stimulated before the work takes a life of its own through an emotional outlet during the creation of the work. I become captivated by the works progressive development, encouraging what works to hold or to expose a subconscious truth and beauty, creating a life of its own.

"There is no single truth in Art, everyone holds their own truth which they have reaped through the life they have endured".
