Broad leaves
Lush and wide
Pink flowers rise
Tying its knot
It’s ready to smoke!
But firstly, it needs to be fermented
And kept scented
To its native brown
For my palette
I desire it
Clipped
And shredded thin
Strung
And rolled
Burnt
And smoked
Held
And untold
It’s to slow my discourse
And to look to the world with quiet eyes
A Crisp burn
And a Gentle inhale
Fill the breathing lungs
A Moment of influenced breath
Its mild touch
Slows my pace
To ponder upon new thought
Taking me nowhere
But to the now
