This was inspired by a large gumtree which normally sits near the bank of the Darling River in outback NSW, Australia. At this time the river was in flood and the main channel of the river and its banks were difficult to identify. This tree seemed quite happy to have its roots sodden. It was "hanging in there" regardless. The changes in local conditions that these trees can withstand within their lifetime amazes me.
