Coastal Edge, Mornington Peninsula

Inspired by the rugged coastline of Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, this original artwork captures the meeting point of land, sea and sky through a contemporary, minimalist lens.

The composition was influenced by a local beach currently gaining national attention as the backdrop to the upcoming season of The Block. Rather than creating a literal landscape, I have distilled the essence of the coastline into bold forms, rich texture and a carefully balanced palette of turquoise, ochre, chocolate brown and soft coastal blue.

Built with heavily textured layers, the work invites the viewer to experience the landscape emotionally rather than geographically. The dramatic cliff face, expansive ocean and warm sand create a sense of calm, space and connection to Australia's coastline.

Designed to complement modern and postmodern Australian interiors, this piece works beautifully as a statement artwork in living rooms, coastal homes, architectural spaces and contemporary commercial environments.

I'm a Mornington Peninsula artist inspired by the natural beauty on my doorstep.
