These trees are so fascinating as they strip their old bark to reveal beautiful shapes and colours on their trunk in Springtime. I loved layering and manipulating the oil paint to represent these magnificent tree trunks and each tree has its own distinctive appearance. Mother Nature at her best. I am drawn to these earthy colours in our Australian bush.
