I loved creating the weird and wonderful alien shapes of these gourds, pumpkins and zucchinis. I found these contorted vegetables in a market in Paris. I was just captured by the strangeness and vibrancy of them and I knew it was something I wanted to put down on canvas and the oil paint just wanted to move on it to help achieve the effect. It is pretty vibrant in colour so should bring some energy to any room.
