I like to paint subjects where light plays with colour and shadow. The soft colours in the background give a sense of calm and allow the eye to focus on the refracted and reflected light through the glass. The light playing on the green bottle is the most vibrant but reflects its colour on the darker brown bottle. The action of light on an object is fascinating and an artists delight.
