My work has been highly influenced by the world of commercial art and graphic design. This translates to my art in many ways. My still life paintings are careful composition full of allegories, which capture a moment in time where all represented items are meaningful beyond the composition.
'Frangipanis in Crystal' is a still life that features yellow and white frangipanis in and around a cut crystal hydra shaped vase. Also next to the vase is a white paper crane, a familar motif in many of my still life paintings. This motif represents creativity.
I have painted a series of these 'reworked' coke bottle still life paintings.
