My work has been highly influenced by the world of commercial art and graphic design. This translates to my art in many ways. My still life paintings are careful composition full of allegories, which capture a moment in time where all represented items are meaningful beyond the composition.

'Toujours Lamour (Love always)' is a still life that features red roses in and around a glass bottle. The glass bottle is the classic Coca-Cola shape, but the brand has changed to the words 'Tourjours Lamour'.

This has been directly inspired by Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliette where he features a red billboard, with the words 'Wherefore L'Amour' in the iconic Coca-Cola font.

A head an shoulder study of a woman (the artist) with should length wavy blond hair, wearing a floral patterned kimono style top. She has an expression on her face of bewilderment on her face. She had a white rope (drawn on with oil stick) tied around her face, head and shoulders. The background is a vignette of royal blue with a metallic sheen at the top, fading to black and the bottom. The background looks like deep water. The woman's face has a pink hue and features dramatic light and shadows.
