I spend many evenings walking along this beach. It's so peaceful. The light at this time of day is otherworldly. It's not brassy or brash, the whole sky, the ocean and the sand are painted in soft pink light. Of course I had to challenge nature and see if I could emulate this quality with my little tubes of pigment. This painting is inspired by an evening we saw a single sailboat on the horizon.
