Recently I've really been enjoying painting flowers on a much larger scale. I always struggle to fit all the beautiful nuances and finer details in my smaller florals. This was such a joy to be able to include every little detail. This is a collage of flowers from my garden, laid out like a kind of bohemian carpet but in a realist style.
This work is painted in artist quality oils on a solid pine frame, hand stretched with thick cotton canvas. It is varnished for longevity and protection. The sides are neat. The work could be hung as is or it may be framed if you prefer.
