Discarded garments and objects inform much of my practice. There's something incredibly beautiful about these old fashioned and worn out things that once occupied such intimate places in people's lives, against their skin, witnesses to their most private moments. My grandmother was a tough but glamorous woman. She cdsewore a rabbits foot brooch with a large amethyst and a kilt on special occasions. When I look at these shoes I can hear her wonky piano ringing out loudly.
