This is an observed still life arrangement continuing my fascination with coloured light and mirrors. The fantastical colours in this piece are not imagined but observed as accurately as possible. The colours cone from using several different light sources.
The work has evolved slowly of many hours and many layers.
Painted in artist quality oils (colours are permanent and will not fade). Sealed with gloss varnish for durability and richness of colours.
Cotton canvas hand stretched on quality pine frame with plain white edges. Frame will last and not twist or warp with temperature changes like Sydney weather. Can be framed or looks great unframed also.
