Smiling Budgie

This little Budgie captured my heart with his little smile. Unless you e had birds it's hard to understand how big their personalities are. They have more spirit than most pets. He is perched on some of my favourite teacups waiting patiently for afternoon tea.

My studio is in the middle of my home, We live by the forest, The forest is full of creatures and birds. The house is full of things, dust, art and sometimes creatures as well. My paintings evolve over many hours, sometimes months, building layer upon layer. For me this is the thing that is so wonderful about painting, it's slowness.
