Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
A fast flowing river gouges through a forest of karri and gum trees. I was inspired by this raging torrent and surrounding forest of eucalyptus trees. The location is the beautiful Harewood Walk in the south of Western Australia. The flowing water is heavily textured with the intention of capturing the character of the subject. I rendered the water using a combination of brush and palette knife and decided to mist out the distance to create depth and contrast.
Artist quality oil paint on professional grade stretched canvas. The sides are 4cm thick and are painted consistent with the color scheme of the subject.
