Karri trees grow along the roadside in the scenic countryside of south Western Australia. These beautiful, tall trees are native to this part of the country. I was inspired by the afternoon light enhancing their colors and creating interesting shadows across the foreground road. Adding charm to the subject, a lovely old country cottage sits on the hillside behind. A textured landscape, spontaneously painted using a palette knife.

Artist quality oil paint on professional grade stretched canvas. The sides are 4cm thick and are painted consistent with the color scheme of the subject.
