Artwork Description

This painting was recreated after I had been up Noos National Park. The late afternoon light was glistening in the background. In the foreground were rocks and the rugged interior of the rainforest.
The sea is ever so slightly in the distance.

I grew up in New Zealand in a very scenic coastal town, so the dramatic sweeping landscapes influenced me at an early age. I moved to Sydney in 1989 and from 1999 I lived in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney where I rekindled a passion for landscape art. The diverse flora of the eastern suburbs influenced my palette, drawing me into the colour and magic of Sydney's coastline and surrounds. I love painting with vibrant, vivid tones to capture man's relationship with nature. My family and I are now living in the south coast of NSW. I am surrounded by amazing landscapes that continue to inspire my passion, and I am constantly trying to express this through my art.
